Long time no write …

Ok just realized I really long didn’t wrote anything so lets ketch up ^^

On time it always is pretty cold here in Albuquerque, here fore I learned dessert doesn’t mean heat but nearly no rain

Sandia had two more Football games and two more victories

Last Friday I the first time had an event organized by my YFU rep. We had a pumpkin carving at her house. It was so fun   But the best part was that I finally got to know at least two of the other three exchange students in
Albuquerque with was great. And just to say it: “lol homecoming soccer game is honestly not really great” because one of the other exchange students had a homecoming soccer game.

Ok I didn’t wrote anything for week but I can’t think of more so I will write again tomorrow or so ^^

The free day of Joe the Plummer

Today I had a day of from school because nearly everyone else is taking the PSAT the preparation for the SAT which unfortunately is on a Saturday (so I have no day extra of).

But so I finally had time to go over to a friends house and watch DVDs were the funny thing is that we only could fined the cover of the DVD which we originally were about to watch but hey there are a loot of cool movies out there.

And I have to say it was quiet easy to understand them even though I had to concentrate a little bit more than I would have had to if it would have been in German.

And Yesterday fall finally came into
Albuquerque meaning we had 40F (10C) most of the day. So here we learn desert isn’t always hot and I may should have brought a jacked

About the 3rd and final presidential debate.

First of all: lol the most important person of the evening was Joe the Plummer

But now seriously as the reporter sad before the debate McCain needed a 50ydt pass to be successful in this campaign. But in the beginning it looked like both would just get fouls instead of passes. Ok very soon McCain was really dominating; he presented himself better and was more self-confident than usual.

Here fore some quotes

Obama “Joe I would like to talk to you, if you are out there”

Greatly shows what an important role the middle class (Joe) played for both candidates.

One of the big themes during the discussion was taxes and how they should be done or not, what would help the most.

Obama ‘We are in the biggest financial crisis since the 1930’s”

Totally true but pls. tell us how you will sole it!

McCain “Senator Government” (to Obama)

My question here is: “may he knows something?”

Most important quote “We should not make each other look bad”

?LOL? Did both of them do something different during the whole campaign?

So finally I think this debate was won by McCain even though Obama’s body language was more relaxed which might brought him the victory.

A Night in Wonderland *

That was the title of yesterdays homecoming dance ^^

And it really was worth its name. To tell you real quick a went the with a few girls, meaning I was dropped of at a friends house (because she was giving me a ride) we drove to someone’s (don’t know the name) house took some pictures and than drove to some place to have dinner. That was delicious and half of the place was filled with students from my school. After dinner we finally went to the dance therefore something especially for everyone in
Germany.

School dances:  ok first of all we don’t really have school dances in Germany. Second yes everyone was dressed up though the way everyone was dancing wasn’t really what I would have expected if everyone is dressed up. The way of dancing: is best illustrated by my first thought when I saw it: “are we taking a rap video?” This may sounds wearied but though everyone was dressed up no one danced formal and I never saw a crowed of people dancing like this. The best discretion for the dance really is a rap video (meaning girls standing in front of boys and you just move you hip).

After the dance me and my “date” somehow lost the other girls so we went to IHOP (International house of pancakes) for breakfast (around 2AM) were we meet some friends.

So that was the dance

But homecoming also included the football game with we unfortunately lost. But hey we had fun.

On Friday we went to see the balloon glow of the balloon fiesta but unfortunately the wind blow to strong for the event to take place.

* just to correct the comment 5 girls and not 6 ^^

2 Ways of homecoming

In the moment school is kind of chaos. Why? Because this week is homecoming week. What that means? OK:

First of all there is the homecoming football game on Thursday witch nearly everyone will attend and not only part of the students. It also means we have a spirit week (Moto week) with a different motto every day and lots of activities. Today for example there was a tee party in the Commons during lunch.

And of cause there is the homecoming dance on Saturday witch I of cause will attend, in the end I only have this chance to go to one so I should use it.

If you are an American and are going to vote for the presidential elections this year there are two basics ways of how to decide whom to vote for:

1. See who has a chance to win (Obama McCain) and than you kind of chose the smaller

evil.

2. Inform yourself also about the 3rd Parties and than decide witch candidate you rally like          or see who best matches your opinion.

3. Not really a way but you also make a discussion if you don’t vote.

To help you to make your discussion there are debates on TV. The problem is: there are only Obama and McCain debating and no 3rd Party candidates. I don’t know the reason, may they are kept away may what ever.

Still it is interesting to watch this debats. Both candidates are really high skilled in expressing that they are the good and the other is the evil one no matter what the question was. So it was surprising that both accepted that the
US economy is at it worst point, both also said it could go up again. They did this without saying the other guys fold.

Who won the debate? I can’t tell you because of the way the candidates argued it are up to your former position who did better. So if you were for Obama before the debate it will have make your opinion grow stronger but the same takes effect on McCain.

So this makes me think may be the 3rd Parties are the best choose but you know therefore you would have to inform yourself because “what is the right is not always popular and what is popular is not always right”
Also watch this one http://www.tsgnet.com/pres.php?id=46832&altf=Kvnq&altl=Xbs

And I am really sorry I wrote a article a few days ago but somehow it got lost, I will try to rewrite it

V.P.s and ballons in the land of passion

In the last time quite a bit happened. So let us organize this

I am just back from the “Balloon Fiesta” the biggest balloon event in the world (with 7 Wahrsteiner balloons). It was amazing, incredible and unbelievable because for two our there was nothing else but rising balloons.  The sky was crowded with balloons. BTW pictures are soon on “JumpWar Pics”. And I am not quiet sure if I most liked the flying cow or the Darth Vader balloon but both were just amazing.

Two days ago I watched the debate of the Vice Presidents, better to say the guys who would like to be the next Vice President of the
USA.

Ok first of Palin (candidate of McCain) a really good politician because what ever the question is she finds a way to say what ever she wants to say even if it has nothing to do with the question while Biden (Obama’s candidate) answers at lest some of the questions.

Overall I got the expression that Palin is a really good speaker she is enthusiastic and has power (She better has to because McCain doesn’t) while Biden is more a man of facts. What also is great because Obama has enough spirit.

One of the main things during the debate was change. Everyone wants to change the Stats but no one really says how they are going to do it. So yes something will change but maybe just the President.

If anyone is interested my grades are all about an A no there isn’t any malicious pleasure in my words.

*Just forgot:
On Thursday we had another Assambly during which the homecoming king/quen candidats interdust themself. It was just one big show such a great pleasure It is allways fun watching people acting stupid, or entertaining. Depending on your point of view.
